Shop Repair

Florida Bearings has a full-service overhaul shop for the repair of motors, pumps, and gear reducers. We have the ability to go to a job site, remove and transport the defective unit to our shop for repair, and then install the rebuilt unit in a timely manner.

About Our Shop

  • EASA (Electrical Apparatus Service Association) approved.
  • Sole source for EMU repairs for all of Florida (minus the panhandle).
  • Can perform warranty work for most major manufacturers.
  • SKF/ MRC certified (We are one of only 2 shops in all of Florida that have this certification.)
  • Service truck for pick-up and delivery.
  • Trained service technicians for installations, repairs, and consultations.

Gear Reducers

  • All units are disassembled upon receipt and inspected for wear and tolerances.
  • We only use high-quality SKF or MRC bearings in all repairs.
  • As an authorized distributor for most major manufacturers of gear reducers, we use original equipment manufactured parts whenever possible.
  • Once reassembled, all repairs are tested and returned to you in a condition as close to new as possible.
  • Our repairs provide long, trouble-free service of your gear reducer.

     

  

Motors

  • We rewind and repair electric motors.
  • We only use ISR (inverter spike resistant) wire in all motor rewinds.
  • We install SKF or MRC bearings.
  • We use class "H" insulation.
  • We test all motors at full voltage before returning them to you.
  • We provide a one-year warranty on all completely rewound motors.
  • If you can't wait for your unit to be repaired, we have an inventory of new and re-manufactured motors for you to choose from.

Pumps

  • We disassemble and clean all parts.
  • We inspect the parts to ensure that they are within factory tolerances.
  • We replace all bearings with new SKF or MRC bearings.
  • We replace the mechanical or packing seal and gaskets.
  • When required, all other parts are supplied by the original manufacturer of the pump and the unit is reassembled according to factory specifications, making the pump "good as new".
